Transcending Solutions is a community led nonprofit centered on empowering Black Trans women through advocacy, peer support, education, leadership development, and access to life changing resources. We work to strengthen communities by addressing the unique barriers faced by black trans women while collaborating with partners across Alabama to advance equity for transgender people.

What We Do

Why Transcending Solutions Exists:
Black Trans women experience some of the highest levels of discrimination, violence, economic instability, and healthcare barriers. Transcending Solutions was created to address these disparities by centering the experiences, leadership, and needs of Black transgender women.
We believe survival should not be the only option. Black Trans women deserve safety, support, and the opportunity to thrive.
